The Vitoria Stone Fair 2018 – Day 3

As we continue our Brazil series, we don’t want you to think it was all work and no play. Close to sunrise and before the Vitoria Stone Fair 2018 started, we took some time to explore. First, we hiked up to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Penha. Created out of natural stone in 1558, Our Lady of Penha is .31 miles above sea level. The view from all sides was spectacular.

We were not done having fun yet, no visit anywhere in the world is complete without visiting the local Harley Davidson store followed a visit to the beach to get our feet wet. Next, we explored the local Vitoria architecture.

And finally, Vitoria Stone Fair 2018 started. When we walked into the fair, we were blown away by all the beauty created with natural stone. Take a walk with me as I did an initial small walk-through of some of the natural stone exhibits.

After spending the first day at the fair, I realized that although men and women can create some beautiful pieces of art from synthetic materials, nothing is as beautiful as something naturally made. The number of details in each piece of natural stone is breathtaking.

Another thing I realized is that natural stone is not just for kitchen and bathrooms, but can make some beautiful pieces of furniture. Design In Stone has done a phenomenal job with these few pieces.
